Come to our Building a WordPress Blog/Site workshop on Saturday, December 3rd. You’ll learn how to build your own blog using the popular WordPress platform. You don’t have to know code, HTML or CSS.
WordPress provides you with the tools you need to create your own fantastic blog. And, our workshop leader—Yasmine Mustafa, the Founder of 123LinkIt which works with bloggers as well as the Chapter Leader of GirlDevelopIt Philly which teaches women how to code—makes it easy to start using WordPress on your own.
Yasmine will show you how to use WordPress.com to start your blog and provide some tips on how to transform it to look like a website. You’ll register your site, get acquainted with the dashboard, customize the appearance of the blog, publish your first post and get connected to others in the community.

Start thinking now about the blog you want to build! Bring all your ideas and any questions you might have. Bringing your own laptop is best, but if you can’t, we will have desktop computers you can use.
